Due to the promotion of our existing Head of English to the Senior Leadership team, we are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational Head of English to lead an experienced, effective and thriving team. The successful candidate will have the vision and creativity, to inspire pupils and lead the continued development of the English department.

The ideal candidate will be:

a qualified English teacher who is always looking to develop

confident teaching across KS2 & KS3, with a track record of success with groups across the attainment range.

passionate about all aspects of English teaching and the wider impact of the subject

committed to making English interesting, relevant and engaging for all pupils.

determined to make a difference in young people’s lives

responsible for liaising with the school SLT and teachers, setting and working towards curriculum goals based on engagement and attainment.
