What skills and experience we're looking for

Essential Experience

• Teacher with experience in the appropriate subject area across the full 11-16 age and ability range

• Relevant academic and teaching qualifications

• Completion of relevant CPD

• Experience of supporting and challenging staff

• Experience in leading whole school/academy developments


Desirable Experience

• Experience of leading a staff team

• Previous experience of managing a budget


Essential Skills

• An ability to work in collaborative partnership with the full range of people associated with the academy – staff, parents, governors, community, business, Trust and Ofsted

• Ability to lead, build and work within teams

• Excellent teaching skills

• Excellent communication skills

• Leading teaching and learning across all ages and ranges

• Leading the implementation of effective methods of teaching and learning

• Developing resources across the curriculum
