Head of Estates

We are looking to recruit a full time experienced leader, with a proven track record in managing a large estates portfolio, to lead and develop the strategic direction of estates management and support for the Trust. The role would suit someone who has at least five years post-professional qualification experience and is looking for a new and stimulating opportunity to play a leading role in the future direction of the Trust.

As Head of Estates you will be leading a small professional team on a broad range of project and professional work, across a number of building/premises types and ages, with this specific role having a focus on educational and commercial facilities.

You will undertake a range of leadership, management, professional and project work including strategic direction, programme management, workstream allocation and line management. You will run your own department, as well as support and plan your share of the workload and priorities. Administration support is provided.

For this role, you will:

Be educated to degree level or equivalent and hold a chartered professional qualification in a property-related discipline (e.g. architecture, building, surveying or property management).

Have at least 5 years post-professional qualification experience in a property related role.

Have excellent communication skills and be comfortable interacting with people at all levels.

Hold a full UK driving licence and have the use of a vehicle for business use.

Experience of working in the education sector is desirable, but not essential.
