We are looking for a highly motivated individual who will provide inspiring leadership to help achieve excellence in terms of students’ outcomes, behaviours and attitudes, and personal development in Languages at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. You will lead a large, talented and committed team of French, German and Spanish teaching staff, ensuring the highest standards of learning and achievement for all pupils, and a personally enriching experience of professional development for staff.

Reporting to the Vice Principal, the main responsibilities for this role are:

To lead the MFL team. This involves giving a clear vision and direction to the team, celebrating achievements, identifying key areas for improvement, and planning appropriate actions to meet them.

To manage both the people and resources associated with each aspect of MFL and examination subjects.

To monitor the quality of teaching and learning, liaising with other Heads of Faculty and Heads of Year and offering support and development where necessary.

To promote and organise extra-curricular programme for all Key Stages including liaising with external bodies.

To promote the ethos of the school.
