Head of Faculty - Science (including Psychology) job summary
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to be responsible for the leadership and development of Science department, ensuring that each pupil is positively encouraged to develop their potential to the full. The Head of Science will be expected to work closely with colleagues in Science departments and across other curriculum areas including Psychology.
You will have:
- Experience or aspirations of leading a forward thinking and innovative science department.
The highest expectations of all members of your team.
- The best interests of the students at the centre of everything you do.
- Excellent communication skills, be confident with technology: someone who gets on well with colleagues, students and parents.
- Excellent organisational skills, a good sense of humour and will want to participate fully in the extra-curricular aspects of school life.
- A relentless focus on leading your department to ensure our students are given opportunities for success both in and beyond the classroom.

Mount Grace School (Potters Bar, Hertfordshire) was one of the first purpose built mixed comprehensive schools in the country and occupies 17 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds.
