Head of Food Technology (TLR 2b + R&R) job summary
We are looking to appoint a highly capable and inspirational Head of Food Technology. This is a fantastic opportunity for an outstanding Technology teacher seeking to take the step into Middle Leadership or an experienced Head of Department looking for a new challenge.
The successful candidate will have excellent subject knowledge, strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire our pupils with outstanding and engaging teaching. Our students are a delight to teach and we foster an atmosphere of mutual trust and respect.
The Department currently follow the WJEC exam board course in Hospitality and Catering at GCSE level. Teaching within the department benefits from a team of specialist teachers who have all contributed to the department’s rich curriculum. The Department benefits from outstanding facilities and resources.
The successful candidate will:
• Be committed to supporting all pupils to achieve their “Personal Best”
• Be an excellent teacher and able to teach to GCSE Level
• Have excellent interpersonal leadership skills, underpinned by a firm vision for the teaching of Food Technology across Key Stage 3 and 4.
• Be forward thinking, visionary, receptive to change and able to work under pressure.
• Have aspirations for further promotion
