What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for a well-qualified and enthusiastic Head of Geography to join our Humanities faculty.
Due to the successful career progression of our current Head of Geography, The Carlton Academy is looking to appoint a Head of Geography to provide professional leadership and management of this highly successful curriculum area working in close partnership with the Head of Humanities and the Trust Director of Geography. This post is ideal for candidates who have a successful track record in delivering outstanding outcomes and are looking to lead a highly motivated and supportive team of teachers. Excellent professional development and support is available from the Trust Director for Geography and within the Humanities department.
The Carlton Academy is part of Redhill Academy Trust. The Academy is also a member of Redhill College of Leadership and Development and as such there are excellent CPD opportunities and a chance to work alongside colleagues from other high-performing schools in the region. The Trust also leads the regional Teaching School Hub, delivering local teacher training and the National Professional Qualifications for teachers.
