- £30,000.00 - £46,525.00 Annually (FTE) School Teachers Terms & Conditions pay range. You will also be rewarded a TLR 2B of for your responsibilities as Head of Department, with an annual value of £5,349. For an exceptional candidate, a recruitment and retention allowance of £4,000 will be offered for the duration of employment.
Head of Geography job summary
This is an exciting and rare opportunity to join our wonderful school as Head of Geography. We are looking for a humble leader and exceptional candidate with a love for their subject and a strong moral purpose so that every child can achieve their dreams and goals.
The role of the Head of Geography is leadership and management of the Geography department and learning across the curriculum, to continue the transformational journey to ensure the best for everyone, the best from everyone.
Reporting to, and supported by a member of senior leadership, the Head of Geography will be responsible for curriculum intent and implementation, student outcomes and achievement in the subject area.
The Head of Geography will be a successful and experienced person able to enthuse, motivate and inspire children. The successful candidate will have demonstrated excellent leadership and communication skills in his/her present role.
