We are a very popular subject and large numbers opt to study the GCSE. We study the AQA syllabus at GCSE and have impressive results. We take our GCSE students on a compulsory residential 3-day trip, usually to Wales, to complete their fieldwork requirement for the exams. At A-level we study the Edexcel Specification and are equally popular. We currently have two sets in Year 12 and 13.An outstanding teacher of Geography is required to join our extremely successful and innovative department in our high achieving school. Geography is an exceptionally popular subject with a high profile within the school. Approximately half of all GCSE students opt to study Geography at GCSE and there are 4 sets in the Sixth Form. We are a collaborative team who aim to foster ‘Geographical thinkers’ and ‘Global Citizens’ through our teaching. We welcome applications from both new entrants to the profession and experienced teachers.
