Head of Geography (TLR 2c) job summary
We are looking to appoint a highly capable and inspirational Head of Geography to lead a successful and supportive department. This is a fantastic opportunity for an outstanding Geography teacher seeking to take the step into Middle Leadership or an experienced Head of Department looking for a new challenge.
The successful candidate will have excellent subject knowledge, strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire our pupils with outstanding and engaging teaching. Our students are a delight to teach and we foster an atmosphere of mutual trust and respect.
Geography is consistently one of our strongest performing subjects and this is reflected by the high number of pupils that opt for the subject at GCSE. The Department follows the AQA exam board course at GCSE level. Teaching within the department benefits from a strong team of specialist teachers who have all contributed to the department's rich curriculum.
The successful candidate will:

· Be an excellent teacher of Geography.
· Have excellent interpersonal leadership skills, underpinned by a firm vision for the teaching of Geography.
