Head of Geography job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Academy for a well-qualified and passionate teacher to lead our Geography department. We require an exceptional individual who is able to lead, develop and enhance the teaching practice of others. We are looking for a dynamic and inspirational individual with excellent subject knowledge of KS3 through to KS5 to join our team. The ideal candidate could be experienced in running a Geography team or looking to make this next step into middle leadership. The Geography department follows the Edexcel GCSE and A level specifications and boasts outstanding initial results in GCSEs from 2022. Fieldwork is embedded into our programme with trips to Kew Gardens, Amersham FSC, Milton Keynes, Southwold, Bedford and Iceland. You would be responsible and accountable for maintaining these high standards in students’ learning, work and conduct.
Head of Geography - 1 FTE (part time also considered)
Salary: MPS / UPS plus TLR for Head of Department Responsibility at £5,530 per annum.
Start Date: January or Easter 2024
