Salary Range: Grade 9 - SCP 30 (£38,233) - 35 (£43,421) - pro-rata for 37 hours & TTO +3 weeks: (SCP 30 £35824 – SCP 35 £40696)

We are seeking to appoint a proactive and effective leader with strong all round knowledge and skills in trust governance and other aspects of school/trust administration to join our central trust team.

As Head of Governance, you will take on a range of work related to ensuring effective governance within the trust and compliance with statutory responsibilities. Specifically, you will ensure all layers of The Pennine Trust’s governance arrangements operate as a coherent whole and provide high quality leadership and management of the Trusts Governance functions.

As the lead governance professional, you will work closely with the CEO and be proactive and creative in identifying where governance is working well, but also where interventions may be required. You will also oversee admissions for all schools and ensure the Trust has all statutory and agreed policies in place and that its use of data is compliant with the GDPR.

The ideal candidate will have a track record of working with boards, developing effective systems and leading/managing change. A proactive, flexible approach to work and supporting the wider central team is also essential.

The position is designed for 37 hours weekly, though there is some flexibility to accommodate part-time working (e.g. 4 days per week) for both the trust and the suitable candidate. The trust also promotes flexible working arrangements, allowing a combination of home and office-based hours.
