Head of History job summary
We are looking to appoint an inspirational, dynamic and enthusiastic qualified Head of History to join our academy of committed staff.

Your role will be:
To be accountable for leading, managing and developing the subject area
To raise standards of student attainment and achievement within History and to monitor and support student progress
To ensure the provision of an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students studying History
To teach History across the age and ability range
To facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential
To effectively manage and deploy staff, financial and physical resources within the department
To share and support the school’s responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth

This position is ideal for an experienced teacher of History, either looking to step up to their first Head of Department role or an existing middle leader. You will receive the excellent support of an internal academy CPD programme but also externally across the Federation. You will join a very positive, willing and committed team who will challenge and support you.
You must hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree to be considered for this role.
