About the role:

We’re looking to appoint a Head of Humanities (Geography expert) to plan and deliver challenging and engaging lessons that instill a passion for learning. You will lead a team of staff including heads of geography, history and religious education.  You will be expected to teach a high percentage of A-level geography. There will also be the opportunity for the postholder to coach/mentor staff and work with other heads of humanities across the network. 

 

You will:

 

  • Be committed to raising the attainment of all students in a challenging classroom environment.
  • Have experience of improving the quality of teaching and learning
  • Be experienced in leading a team and/or working to support the success of others
  • Demonstrate effective behaviour management
