What skills and experience we're looking for
This is an exciting opportunity for a job share to join an innovative and thriving SEND and Inclusion Department within the heart of the South Downs.
The head of Inclusion (SENDCO) will play a pivotal role in the strategic and operational running of SEND both at department and whole school level, as well as being the joint Teacher in Charge of the Specialist Support Centre (SSC) with designation for social communication needs.
As a key member of the extended leadership team you will lead a team of teachers and support staff in ensuring that the needs of all students with SEND are met through quality first adaptive teaching.
Alongside the job share, you will have strategic oversight of interventions and professional meetings, including annual reviews to ensure maximal progress. There is also a teaching commitment with this role.
