About the Role
The Head of IT & Business will provide strong academic and strategic leadership for the department. The successful candidate will be responsible for curriculum development, teaching and learning, student progress, staff support and development, and the effective use of resources.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Leading and managing the IT & Business department
- Ensuring high-quality teaching and learning across the department
- Monitoring student progress and implementing strategies to improve outcomes
- Developing and refining schemes of work and curriculum plans
- Supporting and mentoring staff within the department
- Managing departmental resources and budgets
- Contributing to whole-school improvement and the wider school community
- Maintaining high standards of behaviour, achievement and engagement
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status and a relevant degree
- Have experience teaching IT and/or Business across KS3 and GCSE
- Be an excellent classroom practitioner with strong subject knowledge
- Have the ability to lead, motivate and inspire both students and staff
- Be committed to inclusion, high standards and student success
- Have strong organisational, leadership and communication skills
- Be passionate about developing innovative teaching and learning
