Head of KS2 Maths job summary

Applications are invited for the above post to start in September, 2021. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and experienced Maths teacher to further develop their career in a leadership role at a successful and high achieving school The successful applicant will have experience of teaching Maths at either KS2 or KS3 and will be keen to gain further experience in both teaching 9-13 children as well leading staff and sharing and developing excellent practice in teaching & learning.

Dr Thomlinson Church of England Middle School is situated in the beautiful rural setting of Rothbury on the edge of Northumberland National Park and provides for 225 children from Years 5-8.

Our school’s mission is to provide a broad, balanced and relevant education which caters for the whole child in a secure and caring Christian environment. As individuals and as a community it is our aim to do our best and we are very proud of the high achievement of our pupils. In April 2016 Ofsted judged the school as continuing to be Good.

The school is part of the Three Rivers Learning Trust, with Abbeyfields First,Thropton First, Harbottle CE First, Stobhillgate First Newminster Middle School, Chantry Middle and The King Edward VI High School. Whilst the schools are separate with their own unique identity, there is one engaged and supportive Board of Directors, to whom each school reports.
