- Full time: We are seeking a talented mathematics leader who will continually drive to incorporate evidence informed practice in the work of every maths teacher in the department to ensure our students are given every opportunity to experience success.

What skills and experience we're looking for
- Qualified teacher status
- Qualified to teach Mathematics at secondary level
- Ability to teach KS5
- Successful teaching experience at KS3 and KS4.
- Experience of leading department wide training.
- Knowledge of current National Curriculum programmes of study
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Good subject knowledge and sound classroom management , along with first rate organisation and time management skills are essential
- Evidence of the ability to develop good working relationships with students
- ICT skills
- Ability to plan effective lessons
- Regular use of evidence informed practice in your own classroom
- To demonstrate excellent teaching and be committed to supporting high levels of student attainment.
- Positive, enthusiastic outlook
- Able to work as a member of the departmental team and to be an active participant in the whole staff community.
- Receptive to new ideas and able to generate them
- In tune with the aims and values of Walton High school
- Good record of attendance and punctuality
- Able to work under pressure and manage own stress
- Available September 2024 subject to routine health and protection of children checks.
