What skills and experience we're looking for

ELAM has a unique Maths offer for its Trainees. The majority of our Trainees who take maths take the Level 3 Core Maths qualification while some take their GCSE resit. What makes the offer unique is that we seek to find ways to engage all Trainees by making maths relevant and contextual. Our routes put us at the cutting edge of maths education post-16 and we aim to ensure that Trainees leave with the financial literacy and numeracy needed to further their careers in the creative industries. As a small centre we have the opportunity to get to know our Trainees well and we enjoy the opportunity to build personalised routes for their needs.

This role would be very well suited for an aspiring Maths lead who would like to explore and see the real impact of maths on the life prospects of their students and is excited about applying maths and financial literacy to aspiring creative professionals. It is a unique role which allows for creativity in the curriculum and should appeal to those who have a vision for how financial literacy and maths should be taught to young professionals to improve their life and career chances.
