The Boswells School is looking to appoint a Head of Mathematics Faculty. You will lead the Faculty, working within a team that includes a Deputy Head of Faculty with responsibility for Key Stage 4, two Lead Practitioners and Key Stage 3 Co-ordinators to ensure our students get an outstanding education in Mathematics. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver high quality lessons and to develop an already strong team.

The Boswells School is an 11-18, very successful, popular and oversubscribed school in the Springfield area of Chelmsford, Essex. Our results at GCSE and A-level are consistently excellent and make us one of the highest performing non-selective schools in Essex. Within the Faculty, we deliver Mathematics and Further Mathematics at GCSE and A-level.

In 2019, 55% of our A Level students achieved A* to B grades, 88% of our A Level students achieved A* to C grades, 83% of our GCSE students achieved a Good pass (Grade 4+) in Eniglish and 71% of our GCSE students achieved a Good pass (Grade 4+) in Maths.

The percentage of students who achieved the expected levels of progress in English and Mathematics was significantly above the national average as was the percentage of students who achieved more than expected progress in these areas.
