Job summary
Following the internal promotion of the current post holder, the Governors are seeking to appoint a Head of Mathematics to join our dedicated team of staff.
The post holder will provide strong leadership and management of our successful Department of Mathematics, including the development and implementation of strategies to promote high levels of academic achievement for all students and ensure the curriculum and
classroom pedagogy is of a high standard to support this aim.
This post is an excellent and exciting opportunity to lead a department which has continued to achieve excellent results over the last five years. The ideal candidate will either be someone who is currently a Second in Department/Key Stage Leader or Head of Department.
The ability to lead by example is essential. Their mission will be to lead teaching and learning across the department in order to effectively implement an innovative and well-considered curriculum: to achieve excellent opportunities and outcomes for our young people. Our Head of Mathematics will also be a member of our Extended Leadership Team, and will play a significant role in the wider running and direction of the school.
