Head of Mathematics job summary
Following the forthcoming retirement of our outstandingly successful Head of Department, we are keen to recruit a dynamic and highly motivated colleague to lead our very successful Mathematics department from September 2022 and play a vital and senior role at the heart of school improvement. The next Head of Mathematics will take an already fully staffed, well-resourced and specialist team into the next phase of their development. Success in Mathematics for all our students is well established at GCSE and is a very popular choice within our outstanding Sixth Form, where results in both Maths and Further Maths at A’ Level are strong. The successful candidate will be able to teach and lead the teaching of Mathematics to A’ Level. Above all, our next Head of Maths will love their subject, be excited for what Mathematics can do for students’ lives and will relish the chance of developing an exciting, evolving and challenging curriculum. Our students are a delight; keen to learn, highly motivated and characterful. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate innovative previous experience and very importantly, great commitment and enthusiasm.
