What skills and experience we're looking for

The Head of Maths will drive and sustain a high quality curriculum and excellent teaching within the Maths department. They will model and secure the highest standards of teaching, which enables students to learn effectively and achieve well in this key subject area. The post holder will establish a culture of challenge and support, which ensures that all students are able to engage effectively, tracking their progress and arranging interventions as required. They will collaborate with other Heads of Department, particularly English, to ensure that pupils are able to experience shared success in their achievements

As a member of the Middle Leadership Team, the post holder must be able to command the respect of staff and students, promoting and securing high professional standards at all times. They will play a key role in the overall leadership and management of the academy, ensuring that all staff work to support and promote our values and to secure the best possible educational experience for our students.
