What skills and experience we're looking for
Are you looking for your next leadership challenge and
ambitious to develop your career?
We are seeking to appoint an individual who will take full responsibility for the Maths department and who is highly motivated and enjoys working as part of a supportive team. We are looking for a charismatic, dynamic individual with exceptional leadership skills, who naturally inspires others and is passionate about teaching and its impact on learning.
The Maths department is an inventive and progressive team who are all passionate about seeing young people succeed in their subject. Key Stage 4 results have improved significantly over the past five years, with results consistently above the national average for progress and attainment. This is due to the hard work and determination of staff and students alike in this area.
If you share our vision based on the unshakeable belief that children learn through all aspects of their daily lives and that their values and knowledge, experiences and habits are as important as their academic qualifications, we would be delighted to hear from you.
What the school offers its staff
A comprehensive induction programme is provided for all new staff. We are committed to continual bespoke professional development opportunities, e.g. access to peer coaching, a 1% improvement culture and personalised training. As part of the job package, we will be offering the opportunity of flexible working off-site for 0.5 days a week as agreed within the constraints of the timetable. This is to recognise the evolving concept of the workplace and to support time to work on curriculum development.
