Head of Maths job summary
Required to start in September 2021, we are looking for someone that possesses the skills and determination to make a significant difference. A passion for mathematics and the ability to enthuse young people. This should be coupled with the desire to support our young people to reach their full potential. You must lead with integrity, a strong moral purpose and an ambition to be the best you can be.
The role of head of maths at Outwood Academy Danum would be ideal for either an experienced head of department or someone looking to make that next step. You will be supported extensively by a team of maths directors allowing you to strategically lead the department, whilst having the support and advice from the director team. Our senior director of maths leads the Yorkshire and Humber MathsHub, so you have access to the most current developments in mathematics education and the opportunity to share good practice in the wider field. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to lead a progressive department and be pivotal in shaping the journey to outstanding.
This is a critical appointment for the Academy and is an exciting opportunity for you to move your career onto the next stage.
