Are you looking for the next step in leading and building upon a thriving and successful languages department?

We are looking to appoint a passionate and dedicated teacher of languages to lead our department to continue to improve on academic attainment and develop a new Key Stage 5 pathway. Each year 60% of our year 10 cohort chose a language to study for their Ebacc pathway. This is due to the innovative way it is taught at Key Stage 3 and student recognition of the value and importance in studying a language. The department is well funded to ensure we encourage a plethora of enrichment activities and trips to support enthusiasm and engagement for students to select it as an option. It would be fantastic to create a new sixth form cohort of language students to build on the success at GCSE.

Why work at The Whitstable school? We have a strong vibrant community of staff whereby teaching and learning can flourish in an environment where respect, discipline, and responsibility are steadfastly upheld so all students can learn and grow without unnecessary disruptions. You will be working in a climate whereby the leadership deeply values languages and will provide both the support, CPD opportunities and resources you require to develop in the role.

We are also able to offer Flexible Working for candidates that would like to discuss this.

Candidates must be able to teach Spanish to KS3 and KS4, with the option to develop KS5.

This is an excellent opportunity to join our school. In return we offer a stimulating, supporting and rewarding working environment, where all staff are valued and where you will have the opportunity to access a range of excellent professional opportunities to support your progression.

Additional benefits include:

- Excellent on site facilities

- Excellent CPD programme

- Being part of a highly successful Trust

- Local Government Pension Scheme

- Free Employee Assistance Programme

- Ride to Work Scheme

- Employee Referral Recruitment Incentive

- Free parking on site
