The Teaching school and an active talent management programme will support the successful candidate in this post and in their future career within the Trust and beyond if necessary.
The post holder must:
- Ensure that their subject team is effective, providing leadership in relation to teaching, assessment and moderation and the development of resources.
- Support subject team in the maintenance of effective learning behaviours
- To ensure that teaching and learning in the curriculum area is outstanding, share best practice and implement coaching and intervention strategies.
What the school offers its staff
We are seeking to appoint a Head of Modern Foreign Languages to start as soon as possible. This is a great opportunity for an outstanding teacher to support us to continue to offer the high level of teaching that has been achieved thus far.
Sybil Andrews received a good judgment from Ofsted in our most recent Section 5 inspection, “The school has improved considerably since the previous inspection. Trust and school leaders have a clear vision for ensuring that the school continues to improve.”
We welcome applications to join our experienced MFL team, be part of a school where the culture is to support each other and join a “school which has clear expectations about behaviour and has introduced new routines to create an orderly environment.” (Ofsted 2023). We are looking to recruit an ambitious and innovative colleague to play a major role in ensuring that the MFL department at Sybil Andrews is the best performing in Unity Schools Partnership and then in Suffolk.
Commitment to safeguarding
Unity Schools Partnership is committed to safer recruitment, equal opportunities, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check will be required.
