We are seeking to appoint a talented and experienced Head of Modern Foreign Languages. The successful applicant will be student centred and a collaborative practitioner. The role has a requirement to teach French and Spanish to KS4.
The role is offered on a full time permanent basis. TLR negotiable for a candidate with proven track record of raising standards and/or leadership experience

Essential educational requirements
Experience of teaching Spanish in a Secondary School to KS 4 level.
Experience of teaching French in a secondary school to KS4 Level
Experience of successfully Leading a department
Experience of working successfully in a cross-curricular team.
Experience of monitoring and mentoring Students.
Degree or equivalent qualification.
Qualified Teacher Status.
Commitment to further professional development
Essential skills and experience
Excellent classroom practitioner.
Total commitment to multicultural context and multi-faith communities.
Knowledge of resources and teaching methodologies which promote success and engagement in Modern Languages.
Ability to use ICT for teaching and administrative purposes.
Ability to relate to, and motivate, students.

Excellent communication skills.
Ability to contribute to extra-curricular activities as part of a team.
