The Ellesmere Port Church of England College is looking to appoint a Head of Modern Foreign Languages (Spanish specialism) who will work with the Senior Leadership Team and colleagues throughout the department, to drive continuing improvement in students’ progress in Spanish, across Key Stages 3 – 4, as well as the quality of Teaching and Learning within MFL.
The successful candidate will be an outstanding practitioner who can demonstrate experience of raising attainment in Spanish across Key Stages 3 – 4. You will have a proven track record of success in the classroom and demonstrate high aspirations for our students.
Your role will involve developing best practice in Teaching and Learning within MFL. You should be innovative and willing to lead on a number of initiatives whilst working as part of a team.
You will be a dedicated, talented and enthusiastic individual who is looking for the next step in your career. You will be passionate about Teaching and Learning and developing pedagogical approaches that inspire learners. The ability to be a highly successful team player in a busy, fast-paced environment is essential. You will have the capacity and energy to drive improvement, to lead by example and to develop collaboration within the department.
Our ambition is to grow MFL into the sixth form and be able to offer it as an A Level subject.
