Head of Music job summary
We seek an outstanding Music practitioner with exceptional skills, enthusiasm and experience to join us as Head of Music and lead in its next stage of development. Elizabeth Garrett Anderson School is a popular, high performing 11-16 girls’ inner city comprehensive school situated in the vibrant and cosmopolitan area of Angel, North London.
Music is part of the highly successful performing arts faculty. The music department works in partnership with the Music in Secondary Schools Programme (MISST), which provides all students at KS3 with instrumental lessons and an instrument to learn on. This offer demonstrates the ambition we have for all our students. Results in music are amongst the highest in the school and one above the national average. This is an exciting opportunity for aspiring middle leaders to be a part of and lead a team that continues to strive to improve outcomes for students and focuses on ensuring each child achieves her best whatever her starting point and background.
