Head of PE

(TLR 2a £3,391)

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, innovative and inspirational teacher to lead our PE department. KGGS is an oversubscribed, successful selective all girls’ grammar school, which consistently achieves high standards of both attainment and progress. The PE department currently consists of five well qualified teachers, and it delivers PE at both GCSE and A level.

The successful candidate will be well qualified with a proven track record of teaching PE at both GCSE and A level standard, with very good outcomes as well as experience of leading and managing staff. A willingness to contribute to the wider life of our school community will also be essential.

KGGS students are enthusiastic and highly motivated whilst the school’s ethos is supportive in ensuring all students are happy, challenged appropriately, enjoy their learning and achieve well.

KGGS is an outstanding selective academy of 1200 students where the focus in the classroom is on teaching and developing students and staff alike.
In 2019 Kesteven and Grantham Girls' School achieved some of its best ever results with 91% of our students achieving 5+ in both English and Mathematics, a progress 8 score of 0.92 and an attainment 8 score of 7.0.
