Whitehouse Primary School is a large (3 form entry) primary school situated on the growing development of Whitehouse, in Milton Keynes. We are seeking to appoint an ambitious and inspirational Head of PE. As a PE teacher and leader you will inspire our children in their physical education from our Early Years to Year 6. You will work alongside class teachers to integrate physical education with character development and classroom engagement.
The successful candidate can look forward to the opportunity of building strong relationships with our children who are enthusiastic and eager to take part in a range of sporting activities as well as work alongside parents and carers who are supportive of extra-curricular events. They will also have the opportunity to support, develop and enhance our enrichment programme which includes trips, visits and whole school events.
The Head of PE will work closely with our pastoral, wellbeing and inclusion team ensuring that the children’s needs are met throughout their time at Whitehouse Primary and using the outlet of sport and extra-curricular activity to increase involvement in their learning. They will also explore wellbeing can be promoted through physical education and healthy eating.
The successful candidate will be passionate about encouraging and empowering our children to flourish in their personal development, building their understanding of the world around them and developing a positive and resilient attitude to life. They will continue to weave our Sports Values into their teaching and ensure our children know they are capable of achieving anything they set their mind to. At Whitehouse, we believe all children should have the same opportunities and the successful candidate will continue forward with this inclusive ethos.
