What skills and experience we're looking for
Heritage High Schoolis looking to appoint a passionate and driven Head of Performance to come and lead our hardworking team. You will be instrumental in developing the vision for the department. You may be an experienced subject leader or already in a faculty post. The successful candidate will be an experienced dynamic classroom practitioner with a clear sense of purpose and high expectations who is passionate about the faculty. As a faculty leader you will take the lead in all aspects of learning and teaching in this curriculum area ensuring that students’ needs for all abilities are met and achievement and progress is positive. The person appointed will have a clear vision of what outstanding provision is and be able to inspire and enthuse others.This role is an ideal opportunity for someone who wishes to take the next step in their school leadership journey.

As a dedicated and inspirational Head of Performance (PE, Music and Drama), you will be instrumental in developing the vision for the faculty. As well as leading the Performance department you will lead the Performance team, line managing heads of PE, Music and Drama. You will have the opportunity to shape curriculum design, develop the practice and pedagogy of others and be part of a formidable middle leadership team. If you have excellent subject knowledge and are passionate about Performance, if you are reflective in your approach to teaching and leading, if you want to make a lasting impact on students and believe that all students have the capability to succeed, we would love to hear from you.
