Head of Physical Education & PSHE job summary
This is a rare opportunity to join and lead the Physical Education and PSHE department at Benfield School, Newcastle. The school is renowned regionally and nationally for its sporting provision and success. Benfield School offers an Olympic standard gymnastics facility which is used by Team GB athletes, some of whom attend the school. The school also boasts a full size 4G pitch, three sports halls and an indoor heated swimming pool. The school has also recently invested in a cycle hub with over 50 bicycles available for students to use.
The department is currently led by an outstanding leader who has been internally promoted. The Physical Education team is made up of ten members of staff, with all competing at a high level in their sport including one who currently plays for Newcastle United Ladies First Team.
