 Head of Physically Disabled Resource

Salary: MPS plus TLR2 £4,785 and SEN Point 1 £2,270 
Required for September 2021, an enthusiastic and committed teacher to be Teacher in Charge of the Physically Disabled Resource. The Resource is an important feature of Kennet School and currently there are 18 children attached but integrated fully into the main school. The pupils all have an EHCP where their primary need is physical; a number have additional medical, learning, sensory or emotional needs. 

This challenging but rewarding post will involve leadership and management of the Resource budget and staff and working successfully with mainstream staff to monitor and promote the achievement and wellbeing of the PD Resource pupils. In addition, there will be a small amount of teaching in the main school. 

The Resource employs a range of staff from Assistant Teacher to Welfare and Teaching Assistants, supported by a range of external professionals.

Kennet is a dynamic and ambitious 11-18 comprehensive school which opened in September 1957. The school has grown over the last 60 years, both in terms of size and success.
