Head of Physics job summary
We are seeking an inspirational Physics leader to join our unique, oversubscribed, all-through school. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic leader to share their passion for learning and develop the Physicists of the future in our outstanding school.
As Head of Physics you will be in a job that will motivate and challenge you in equal measure. You will be leading the development of the Physics area of the Science curriculum, working with both experienced and early-career teachers, supporting them to develop their pedagogy and be the very best teachers they can be. You will work closely with our Curriculum Leader to deliver an ambitious and engaging Physics curriculum that inspires students to enjoy and study Physics from KS3 through to A level. We actively promote the importance of STEM subjects within the school and would expect the successful candidate to play a part in developing this area.
The Lead Teacher of Physics will be someone who has the vision and skillset to help lead a strong team in achieving the very best outcomes for all our students. We will work closely with you to support your career goals and offer high-calibre CPD and opportunities for future promotion within your subject and the wider school.
