Head of Product Design job summary
The Role:
We are looking for a dedicated, well-qualified and enthusiastic Head of Product Design to lead the department which is well established at GCSE and A level. You will be required to lead a small team in the successful planning and delivery of these qualifications enabling all pupils to achieve. As part of your role you will be responsible for the monitoring of pupil progress and the promotion of the department to pupils choosing options at GCSE and A level. Your enthusiasm, commitment and flexibility will be paramount, to the continued success and engagement of both staff and pupils. You will be committed to improving the learning outcomes for all pupils in the school.
What you will need to succeed:
A successful candidate would be a Product Design specialist equipped with the knowledge and skills required to deliver both the GCSE and A Level courses with experience of analysing data for assessment and moderation at all Key Stages.
Candidates must have a passion for Product Design, innovation and a desire to educate pupils of all abilities. You will be highly organised, able to radiate creativity and enthusiasm in the classroom, whilst developing strategies to maintain consistently high expectations of both yourself, and the pupils. You will be competent in the use of workshop machinery and CAD/CAM systems. You will be aware of and uphold Health and Safety regulations.
