What skills and experience we're looking for

Ralph Thoresby School is seeking to appoint a skilled teacher and leader for the role of Head of RE and PSHCE and Lead Professional for Personal Development. The role will start in September but an earlier start is desirable.

The role will involve leading our successful and innovative RE and PSHCE department to deliver outstanding learning opportunities both in and out of the classroom.

The role will also involve strategic oversight of Personal Development at Ralph Thoresby School, this will include working with our Careers Lead to deliver an outstanding Careersprovision, our member of staff in charge of Extra- curricular toensure we are offering a fantastic provision of clubs and trips at our school. The role will also involve working with other key members of staff in school andthe Senior Leadership team toensure that the Personal Development of our students isoutstanding.

The ideal candidate will be well versed in educational research around Personal Development and be confident to drive change in this key area of school.

The successful candidate will already have a successful track record in teaching the subject, have had some leadership and management experience at department level and will be looking for that next step in their career with a whole school responsibility.
