Head of Religious Education Department job summary

We are looking for an inspiring Middle Leader who will spend this academic year creating an engaging and enriching the Religious Studies curriculum for us before launching it school wide in September 2022 as Head of Department. We welcome applications from candidates who are excited by this unique opportunity to work with our community and EDI lead, embrace the diversity of our cohort and come up with a forward-thinking curriculum that not only meets the National Curriculum requirements but also broadens the minds of our students and enables them to engage in rich conversations about faith, philosophy, and our society.

This role will sit within our Humanities team and the successful candidate will be supported by our Vice Principal in charge of curriculum, as well as our Head of PSHE and EDI lead.
