What skills and experience we're looking for

As a newly appointed Head of Department you enjoy a great deal of autonomy in designing an appropriate curriculum that will inspire students from Key Stage Three through to Key Stage Five. You will lead a team of talented specialist teachers.

You will find a large number of our students thrive in Religious Education and have a strong understanding of the subeject from their own practice both Christian and other faiths (20% of our cohort are practising Muslims). Students have welcomed the opportunity this year to visit local faith centres and listen to specialist lectures. We are keen to develop these enrichment activities even further.

Responsibilities for all Heads of Department at the School

•Completing relevant quality assurance across the team including engaging with student voice.

•Line Management of colleagues and contributing to the performance management process.

•Deliver high quality teaching

•Complete duty activities that support the smooth running of the school.

•Organising appropriate fieldtrips and enrichment activities
