Rawlins Academy is seeking to appoint a highly talented and successful leader to the post of Head of RE and Christian Distinctiveness. You will be joining an enthusiastic team and will play a key role in the management and academic success of the academy.
Rawlins Academy is a successful 11-19 school with a good tradition at A Level, strong pastoral care and guidance and exceptional provision for the Creative Arts. We pride ourselves on our inclusivity having both a Moderate Learning Difficulties Unit and Autism Unit within our mainstream school.
Essential to this role are strong inter-personal skills and an ability to build an effective team. You will need a range of skills, have aspirations of yourself and our pupils and be willing to constantly review and reflect on the effectiveness of strategies and initiatives.
Applications are welcomed from well-qualified and highly motivated individuals who are keen to work with remarkable young people providing an exceptional education for all. Previous leadership experience, whilst desirable, is not as important as talent and application. Our new leader will be a gifted teacher, with excellent interpersonal skills and the capacity for curriculum and whole-school operational leadership.
Visits to the school are encouraged and warmly welcomed.
Completed application forms should be returned to recruitment@rawlinsacademy.org.uk

Our core purpose is summed up in our vision and values:
Developing Trust | Inspiring Hope | Building Success | Shaping the Future
And via our motto: Act wisely and make the most of every opportunity Colossians 4:5
This is an excellent opportunity to join one of Leicestershire’s largest secondary schools, with over 1500 on roll including more than 300 in our A-Level specific Sixth Form. We are a highly inclusive school having our own Autism and a Moderate Learning Difficulties specialist unit on site alongside our school’s SEND support base. Pupils who attend these units are an integrated part of our school community.
There is a strong sense of community in the school, the village of Quorn and the surrounding areas with a committed and aspirational parent support base. Teamwork and making the most of every opportunity is a key feature of school life. We aim to inspire our pupils to find their talents and their passions through a broad and balanced curriculum; to be curious about learning; to relish a challenge and to have both confidence and resilience. Applications are therefore welcomed from well-qualified and highly motivated individuals who are keen to work with remarkable young people providing an exceptional education for all.
