Head of Resource Base for Students with Vision Impairment/QTVI job summary

We invite applications from innovative, resilient, creative and motivated individuals who can play a key role in our specialist provision for Visual Impairment. You will be an enthusiastic and outstanding QTVI Teacher who will inspire and motivate our students.
You will have responsibility for developing and promoting the use of Inclusion, with specific responsibility for VI provision across the school to support teaching and learning. You will be involved with coordinating the support provided to students including delivering programmes of skills development to enable pupils in accessing their learning.
Students are taught in classes with their peer group, to encourage team building, social skills and confidence, by experienced class teachers in combination with the QTVI and with support from trained educational teaching assistants.
To succeed, you’ll have strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver high quality lessons, together with an enthusiasm for teamwork and collaboration.
