Start Date: 20 April 2020 or as soon as possible thereafter
We are seeking to appoint a Head of School to work at Abbot Alphege Academy within the Bath and Mendip Partnership Trust.
Our school is in its third year of operation with 64 pupils on roll and our numbers have now grown sufficiently to require a permanent senior leader post to manage the day to day running of the school. The role will also have a part time teaching commitment to teach the mixed age upper key stage two class. The role is expected to become a full time position once the pupil numbers have increased further.
We are looking for an experienced teacher who ideally has wide or significant experience of senior leadership in a primary school.
The successful applicant will be expected to play a significant role in the development and growth of the primary school to reach its maximum capacity of 210 pupils over the next 4-5 years, as the new housing development reaches its final phase of building.
The post holder will work closely with the senior leadership team of Weston All Saints Primary, who currently share the leadership and running of the school. It is envisaged that this support will continue during the expansion of the school.
The school is part of the Bath and Mendip Partnership Trust and shares the Local Governor Board with WASPS, the lead partner school.
Visits to the school can be arranged by emailing the school office: office@abbot-alphege.org.uk to book an appointment.
Please email all applications forms to applications@thebathandmendippartnershiptrust.com. Please note we are unable to accept CVs.

Abbot Alphege Academy is a wonderful primary academy in the Lansdown area of Bath. It is gradually growing to reach its full capacity of 210 pupils. In September 2018, we joined The Partnership Trust, which is a multi-academy trust.
At Abbot Alphege Academy, we truly believe that every child in our care is a special and exceptional person, and is capable of more than we know. Our first and most important priority is to make sure that our children feel safe, valued and happy in our school, and that they trust the adults who teach them and take care of them.
Our staff are highly committed to making sure that each and every child at our school is academically fulfilled and makes the best progress that they can through our curriculum. We endeavour to develop confident and self-assured young people, who are ready for the next stage in their education.
We are a Church of England Academy and we offer our children the opportunity to explore the value of worship and prayer, and to ask those big questions. We are developing great links with our local church, and have a core set of Christian Values that guide everything that we do in our school.
At Abbot Alphege, we see ourselves as a true community school, working hard in partnership with our parents, our governors, our Trust and our wider community to ensure great outcomes for the children in our school.
