Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualified Teacher Status (A)
  • Evidence of further relevant study or training or working on or willingness to undertake NPQH or equivalent (A/R)

  • Proven record of leading and supporting staff to improve provision and raise attainment (A/I/R)
  • Experience of similar setting/context (A/R)
  • Experience as DSL or DDSL (A/R)

  • Demonstrable experience of modelling high standards, values and vision of a school (A/I/R)
  • An awareness and understanding of current educational developments and statutory requirements (I)
  • The ability to develop a strategic vision for the needs of the school in collaboration with the executive Headteacher and the Board of Governors (I)

Leading Learning and Teaching

The Board of Governors, staff and pupils of Bevington Primary School are seeking to appoint a full time Head of School. The successful candidate will work with the Executive Headteacher.

We are looking for an ambitious and inspirational Head of School with a passion for learning. They can demonstrate excellence throughout their career and a proven record of whole school change.

We are seeking to appoint a Head of School who:

  • has high expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour
  • has an ability to accelerate and deepen pupil progress across the school
  • has excellent interpersonal skills and qualities that motivate parents, children and staff
