To commence April 2025

Are you ready to take the next step in your leadership journey? Do you want to be supported in leading a fantastic school?.

We are seeking an ambitious and dynamic leader to join us at an exciting time of transformation as we implement a new leadership structure. This role provides a unique platform to lead a vibrant primary school while benefiting from the strategic support of our Trust Executive Principal. Together, we are committed to delivering exceptional education for every child.

This is your opportunity to make a real difference as the Head of School at Martham Academy and Nursery, part of Broad Horizons Education Trust.

Why join us?

  • Leadership Support: Work closely with an experienced Trust Executive Principal and a collaborative network of leaders across our Coastal Hub and Trust.

  • Professional Growth: Access tailored professional development opportunities, including mentorship, coaching, and leadership training, to help you achieve your aspirations.

  • Exciting Challenge: Shape the culture, curriculum, and success of a school that champions inclusivity, innovation, and high standards for all.

  • Collaborative Environment: Share best practices and ideas with passionate educators across our Trust, contributing to collective success.

As Head of School, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management, teaching and learning, and operational success of the school. Working under the strategic direction of the Trust Executive Principal, you will foster a culture of high expectations, inclusivity, and continuous improvement. This is a unique opportunity to lead with impact and drive meaningful change while supported by a forward-thinking and ambitious Trust.

We’re looking for an inspiring, resilient, and experienced leader who:

  • Has a proven track record of improving outcomes for pupils and delivering exceptional teaching and learning.

  • Is committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in every aspect of school life.

  • Thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about developing others.

  • Is ambitious, reflective, and driven to make a lasting impact on the lives of pupils and the school community.

Broad Horizons Education Trust is a medium sized, highly respected and thriving Multi Academy Trust in Norfolk. At present, we have 3 secondary schools, 2 specialist residential SEMH schools and 13 primary schools. You will play a key role in the Trust Leadership Team, alongside your fellow headteacher colleagues.

We appreciate the unique qualities of each school in our Trust and commit to supporting them with their own improvement journey. We know 'time matters' for every child and so we are ambitious for every school and their pupils.

We are not afraid to do things differently. We understand there is no one route to success and we are always looking for new ways to do even better. We do not shy away from innovation and trying something new. Paving our own way is as much a part of our Trust mindset as striving for excellence. We are committed to a model of robust evaluation and continuous improvement.

You will receive a competitive salary, access to the Teachers’ Pension Scheme, together with other benefits including the cycle to work scheme and access to our Employee Assistance Programme.

Discussions about this role are strongly encouraged. If you consider yourself to be the unique individual we are seeking, please contact Glenn Russell (Trust Executive Principal) for an informal, confidential discussion. grussell@bhetrust.co.uk
