What skills and experience we're looking for

The St John Paul II Multi Academy are seeking to appoint a Head of School for Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School. This is a very exciting opportunity for someone who is seeking a leadership role within a community that prides itself on the care, commitment and educational standards provided for all children. The Head of School will be appointed to support the Executive Principal in the day to day running of the school, ensuring that standards of education continue to rise, and the school continues it journey of school improvement.

This position would ideally suit someone who aspires to make a difference to children through effective leadership and management.

The Local Board of Governors are seeking to appoint someone who:

  • Is a committed practising Catholic.
  • Someone who has the confidence to run the school day to day in the absence of the Executive Principal.
  • A person who can work with initiative, able to make decisions and work collaboratively with others to ensure policies, practices and procedures are consistently followed.
  • Has the drive, ability and commitment to raise standards across the curriculum.
  • Is resilient, innovative, creative and forward-thinking.
  • Has highly developed interpersonal skills to work with all parties in the school community and with other schools/external agencies.
  • Is confident to deal with safeguarding concerns that arise.
