What skills and experience we're looking for

The successful candidate will:

  • be responsible for the effective day-to-day running of Worfield School
  • provide leadership and management of the curriculum and of teaching and learning across the School which enables the School to give every pupil high quality education which promotes the highest possible standards of achievement
  • provide an outstanding model of classroom practice
  • ensure that the school is an integral part of the local community, and take account of, and respond to, feedback from pupils, parents and the wider community
  • teach a class for up to 2 days each week– this shall mainly be Year 1 during the remainder of the academic year 2022-23
  • work in close collaboration with other senior leaders and executive leaders across the Federation to secure the long-term success of The Trinity Federation (the role will involve some travelling to other schools within The Trinity Federation)

The Governing Body of The Trinity Federation and the Executive Headteacher are seeking to appoint an inspirational Head of School to lead a committed team of staff at Worfield Endowed CE Primary School from April 2023 (or as soon as possible after this date).

Worfield School is part of The Trinity Federation, a thriving federation of three local authority maintained, Church of England primary schools, and includes a SEND hub. Worfield School was graded 'Good' by Ofsted during its most recent Ofsted inspection in July 2018. The Trinity Federation also provides the strategic leadership for a neighbouring academy.

This role is ideal for an aspiring leader, looking to hone their skills and bring their experience to bear in a whole school leadership role whilst working under the supportive, strategic leadership of the Executive Headteacher and the Federation Director or Teaching and Learning and the Federation Director of SEND and Inclusion. The Executive Headteacher and the governors acknowledge the importance of the role of the Head of School and will actively offer long term support, encouragement, CPD and realistic challenge to the successful candidate.

As the Head of School, you will work as a member of the Federation’s Senior Leadership Team.
