Further details about the role

You will lead the development of all aspects of the Science Department including the quality of curriculum, teaching and learning and assessment. You will line manage members of the Science Department and ensure the whole team isempoweredtoimproveanddeveloptheir own practice. You will have an up-to-date knowledge of pedagogicalbest practice in scienceandsupportothers in improving classroom practice. You will be responsible for the monitoring and evaluation of student progress and raising attainment in science.

As a middle leader you will contribute to the embedding of our wider school values and school improvement priorities, implementing devolved management responsibilities as required.
