Head of Science job summary
We are looking for an excellent Head of Science who will be able to build upon current areas of strength and also drive improvements in student outcomes and experiences in Science. The successful candidate will have the drive and ambition to create an excellent Science Department.
We are currently restructuring the Biology, Chemistry and Physics departments, bringing all 3 sciences together into one unified department. You will have experience of leading curriculum development, teaching and learning and assessment. Critically you will be able to demonstrate how your leadership can make a significant impact in improving student outcomes at GCSE level. You will be a highly skilled teacher with strong leadership expertise and have a track record of supporting staff through change. Science is an important and valued discipline and you will have the Academy’s full support. You will share our ambition to provide a great educational experience for all of our students. Stratford School Academy has been rebuilt and redeveloped through the Priority Schools Building Programme recently.
