Head of Science job summary

We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced, creative and innovative Science teacher, to lead our dedicated Science Department from September 2021.

The successful applicant will have proven experience teaching GCSE and A-Level in at least two of Biology, Chemistry and Physics, and they will be someone who can inspire students. They will work partnership with the Headteacher, SLT and the Science Department to develop, shape and drive performance in Science, building on successes of the past through creative and dynamic strategies.

The Science department runs smoothly and our students achieve well across Key stages 3 to 5. Staff benefit from a positive working environment with strong support for professional development and 11 laboratories, fully equipped for high quality teaching and learning. We are further supported by experienced team of technicians.

Our core purpose is to fully engage all our students and ignite their curiosity and determination so they can achieve their full potential. We welcome applications from creative and dynamic teachers who can contribute to this vision.

The main site for TWGSB is in Tunbridge Wells. However, there you may be required to work at other sites connected to TWGSB.
